 This pleasure-boat may be the Myall Family's little TSMV "Skylark II" - both from the apparent size, and from the location of the beach "Pitch" leased from the Corporation's Pier & Foreshore Dept. If my identification is correct, she was requisitioned for the Dunkirk Evacuation on 28th May, 1940, - was damaged during that service and subsequently repaired by Tough's of Teddington; spent the rest of the War and an RN Harbour tender, and was returned to her Owners in late-1945. |

| The pleasure-boat is the TSMV "Westcliffe Belle". Requisitioned for War Service under Ministry of Shipping Small Craft Control Order of May 10th, 1940. Had War Service as RN Auxiliary based at Cliffe on the Kentish Bank, upriver. NOT listed as a Dunkirk "little ship". |

| This pleasure-boat is probably the TSMV "Dreadnought"[possibly owned by J Polkinghorn.] May have been requisitioned for Dunkirk Evacuation on 28th May, 1940, but doesn't appear on any of the major Lists of the Little Ships. |
